I will strengthen our communities.
This campaign is about people, fairness, and ensuring every resident in Canonbury Ward has a voice, access to services, and a better quality of life.

🟡 2. Advocacy: Standing Up for You

Advocacy means speaking up, supporting others, and protecting people’s rights to create real change.

Too many people feel unheard, vulnerable, or unable to access the services they need.

I will:

• Help residents express their views
• Ensure fair access to services
• Stand up for those facing discrimination or disadvantage

Our communities need leaders who truly understand the issues affecting everyday people.

🟢 3. Stronger Communities, Better Lives

Communities thrive when people are connected, supported, and empowered.

I will work to:

• Support local businesses and economic growth
• Encourage skills development and training
• Promote accessible and welcoming public spaces
• Build trust and collaboration across communities

Stronger communities create better opportunities and a higher quality of life for all.

🔵 4. Housing & Living Standards

Better Housing, Better Health

There is a clear link between poor housing and poor health.

I will advocate for:

• Better housing services and faster repairs
• Higher living standards for all residents
• Fair treatment for tenants

No one should have to wait years for repairs or live in poor conditions that affect their mental health.

Community Responsibility

We all have a role to play:

• Keeping shared spaces clean
• Not leaving rubbish outside doors
• Using designated bins properly

Encouraging shared responsibility can help reduce service charges and improve living conditions for everyone.

Improving Healthcare Access

I will advocate for:

• Better services at GP surgeries
• Improved local healthcare delivery
• Accessible mental health support, including CBT

No resident should feel unable or afraid to access healthcare due to poor services.

Policing & Protection

Everyone deserves to feel safe.

I will advocate for:

• More effective and visible police officers
• Improved policing services
• Keeping local police stations open

Support for Victims

Victims of crime need stronger support and protection.

Tackling Antisocial Behaviour

• Stronger action on drug misuse
• Better rehabilitation support
• Safer streets for all residents

🟤 7. Cleaner & Greener Canonbury

Improving Recycling

We all have a role to play in protecting our environment.

I will:

• Work with communities to improve recycling systems
• Raise awareness about proper waste disposal
• Encourage recycling of bottles, tins, and household waste

Better awareness leads to cleaner streets and a healthier environment.

⚫ 8. Infrastructure: Roads & Pavements

Our roads and pavements need urgent attention.

I will advocate for:

• Improved maintenance of roads and walkways
• Faster response to damaged pavements
• Safer streets for pedestrians and residents

We must take pride in our area and act quickly when issues arise.

🟠 9. Parking & Transport

Parking is a major issue affecting residents.

I will work for:

• Fairer parking policies
• Support for carers and people with disabilities
• Reduced parking pressures for local residents

LTNs & Traffic Balance

Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) must work for everyone.

I will:

• Engage residents through open discussions
• Push for a balanced approach that supports both residents and local businesses
• Reduce unnecessary long journeys caused by road restrictions

If we are serious about reducing pollution, we must allow people to reach their destinations efficiently—not keep them on the road longer.

🟡 10. Housing, Rehousing & Support

Supporting the Most Vulnerable

I will advocate for:

• Better support for rough sleepers
• Priority housing for vulnerable individuals, including veterans
• Improved access to mental health services

No one should be left behind or feel unsupported in our community.
